Past, Present and Future.
Past, Present and Future.
Mid 2008 I decided to take this hobby far more seriously and thus to enter as many rounds of Amateur Photographer Of The Year as I could. I had no expectations as the standard is very high and I'm quite new to the hobby.

Much to my surprise my first entry "Old Man of Kolkata" made the top 50. Whilst not in the magazine it was still encouraging. I entered the following two rounds with little success, but to be honest I wasn't happy with my entries. Then the My Life round I made the top 30 with "Chained to the Keyboard" at 27. I missed the next round, by being completely disorganised.


I decided to go to town for the final round "Self Portrait" and much to my delight again made the top 30 this time at 18. The picture was a low key studio image show my father, son and me. Effectively depicting "Past, Present and Future". My son showing what I looked like in the past and my father what I might look like in 30 years time , if I make it that far.

For 2009 I plan to be far more organised and enter every round, with a little more planning and organisation.
